COPENHAGEN, JULY 7, 2016 –Software-as-a-service company Siteimprove released its sixth corporate social responsibility (CSR) report today outlining its efforts to support digital accessibility and cultivate an exceptional workplace. The report is published in accordance with the United Nations’ Global Compact – the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. It is now available online at Siteimprove’s website.
As a leading provider of web governance tools and solutions, Siteimprove’s mission is to make the web better for all which they do by helping organizations and companies ensure their websites are accessible for everyone of all abilities.
“We have made accessibility a main CSR priority as inaccessible websites are a global problem and we have the ability to help improve the website user experience for individuals all over the world” said Morten Ebbesen, CEO and founder of Siteimprove. “One way in which we raise awareness of this is through our various accessibility conferences where we educate web teams about web accessibility and how to best implement it.”
Within the CSR Report Siteimprove’s other accessibility activities are outlined, including hosting a digital accessibility meetup in Minneapolis together with discount retailer Target, facilitating the Better Web Awards in Copenhagen, introducing updates to its accessibility tool offering, and establishing an official partnership with Danish accessibility consultancy firm Diversa.
Doing business with a socially responsible company is increasingly popular and in 2015, Siteimprove experienced a growth of 66% and a revenue increase of 73%. Despite this and a strong expansion plan, Siteimprove has maintained its focus on employee well-being, in line with the Global Compact’s emphasis on labor rights.
In 2015, global research, consulting, and training firm Great Place to Work® named Siteimprove one of Denmark’s best workplaces and one of Denmark’s 10 best IT workplaces. Additionally, Siteimprove was named one of Minnesota Business Magazine’s “Top 100 Companies to work for” for the fourth consecutive year.
“We are proud to see Siteimprove acknowledged as a top workplace in both Denmark and Minnesota. Our employees are our most important asset, and we will continue to invest in their satisfaction and development” said Ebbesen.
