New report from institute of human rights and Siteimprove finds Danish political party websites inaccessible

The Institute of Human Rights in Denmark, in collaboration with Siteimprove, has published a new report ‘Make Democracy Accessible’ that assessed the accessibility of Danish political party websites. Disappointingly the results aren’t great.

Despite the fact that all parties in the parliament voted in favor of a bill, the EU Web Accessibility Directive, which aims to ensure that all public websites and mobile applications are accessible, the parties' own websites are lagging behind.

All the parties assessed; Alternativet, Dansk Folkeparti, Det Konservative Folkeparti, Enhedslisten, Liberal Alliance, Radikale Venstre, Socialdemokratiet, Socialistisk Folkeparti and Venstre, were categorized as having a ’Bad’ level of accessibility on the websites.
