Copenhagen, DENMARK – March 25, 2019 – Siteimprove, a global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company leading the charge in digital accessibility is proud to announce the approval of its accessibility courses by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) as Continuing Accessibility Education Credits (CAECs) towards their CPACC, WAS, and CPWA certifications.
The inclusion of Siteimprove’s accessibility courses within IAAP’s continuing education framework further cements the company’s position as an industry leader in digital accessibility. Eighteen courses, designed by Siteimprove’s experienced accessibility experts, are available to IAAP members and non-members alike.
The courses are specifically tailored to meet the needs of a range of job titles that may find themselves working with accessibility, from content contributors and marketers to developers, testers and designers. There are several courses that focus specifically on working with accessibility within the Microsoft Office package, as well as courses about making documents, PDFs, and multimedia accessible.
For those who want to stay up to date on the latest within accessibility guidelines and standards, there is the WCAG 2.1 course that provides training on the additional requirements introduced in version 2.1 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) released in July 2018 by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Siteimprove is actively involved in the development of web accessibility standards and guidelines on national, regional and global levels, as well as research and innovation projects such as the Web Accessibility Initiative - Advanced Decision Support Tools for Scalable Web Accessibility Assessments (WAI-Tools), which is a European Commission (EC) co-funded project as part of the Horizon 2020 Program.
