Siteimprove Named 2018 Transatlantic Company of the Year
mar 16, 2018
Siteimprove is recognized for its impressive growth in a complex U.S. market as well as their strategic choice of in placing a majority of its activities and investments in the United States.
The award was presented to the Danish software company Siteimprove at AmCham’s Annual 2018 Transatlantic Summit.
In receiving the award, CEO & Founder of Siteimprove Morten Ebbesen stated: "We began operating in the U.S. in 2005, only two years after we were founded. At the time, our early entry in the U.S. was a somewhat daring move from a cost and risk perspective, but we worked hard and succeeded. This propelled our entire company forward because it created a strong financial foundation we could use to grow in other markets and also mature our key product offering. In this way, the U.S. has played a special role in how we evolved as a company."
He continues: "We are extremely proud to be recognized by AmCham for our strong footprint in the US and that our success contributes to growth and jobs in the Minneapolis area. We are fast approaching 200 employees in the U.S. that accounts for 61% of our entire revenue and this year we expect to grow even further because we have a highly relevant product for companies and organizations."
Spokesperson and Chairman of the jury, Jørgen Bardenfleth, noted that “The jury was very impressed by the growth and engagement that Siteimprove has shown in the United States - particularly during the past three years. In that period, Siteimprove’s U.S. revenue has grown from $8.1 million to $28 million and the number of employees has increased by 279%. Siteimprove’s U.S. activities are in rapid growth in a complex software market – and are also the company’s fastest-growing business compared to the rest of the world. The fact that their U.S. business makes up 61% percent of the company’s combined activities show that Siteimprove is fully committed to the U.S”.
The other finalists included KMC, LEO Pharma, SimCorp, Ørsted og Weibel Scientific.
