Siteimprove Announces Expansion Into Japan

Copenhagen-based company cites Japan’s advanced technology climate as prime market to deliver digital certainty and provide accessible digital presence

COPENHAGEN, September 29, 2017 – Siteimprove, a technology firm that provides services to help audit, optimize and manage websites, announced it is expanding into Japan in 2017.

The move to Japan reinforces how quickly Siteimprove has grown into a true global brand. Siteimprove serves dozens of markets from offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Minneapolis, Oslo, Sydney, Toronto and Vienna. Since 2003, the Copenhagen-based company has helped customers firmly manage their digital presence with innovative, automated solutions that have become increasingly important amid growing website expectations and requirements.

Their process works to ensure digital certainty — meaning organizations can feel confident that their online presence is error-free, consistent and accessible to everyone.

“Given its innovative and advanced technology culture, Japan is a common-sense market for Siteimprove to enter and serve,” said Camilla Simonsen, Siteimprove’s Chief Operating Officer. “The response to the move has been overwhelmingly positive and we are excited to expand into this new market and cultural environment to advance web governance for Japan.”

Siteimprove’s Japan expansion is further strengthened through a partnership the company forged with Underworks, a digital marketing agency that helps top Japanese companies adapt digital management strategies and implement comprehensive guidelines. According to Simonsen, Underworks brings valuable market knowledge and a strong network to help Japanese companies achieve a consistent, error-free and accessible digital presence.

"Siteimprove is the solution that we have long been looking for to free our clients from tedious error-checking tasks, allowing them to fully concentrate on their business," said Manabu Tajima, CEO of Underworks.

Siteimprove is also entering Japan with a track record of success: since April 2015, the company has provided its technology solutions for Epson, a Japanese electronics company and manufacturer of products including printers, 3LCD projectors and industrial robots. Ian Cameron, Epson’s General Manager of the Brand & Communications Department, cited Siteimprove as a key partner for Epson. “We are using Siteimprove’s tool extensively for daily global website operations to help us improve and standardize our user experience worldwide, and we are excited to have Siteimprove with us for the long-term in Japan.”
