Data Request

Personal Data Request Policy

It is the policy of Siteimprove to honor an individual’s right of access (GDPR Article 15), rectification (Article 16), portability (Article 20), processing restriction (Article 18), and erasure (“right to be forgotten”)(Article 17) of Personal Data. For that reason, an individual may access, request edits, obtain a copy of, or restrict further processing of her or his Personal Data (defined below) for as long as such data is maintained in compliance with Siteimprove’s Retention Policy. Upon proper request (as explained in this Policy), Siteimprove shall, without undue delay, make reasonable efforts to comply with an individual’s Personal Data request.

Personal Data” is any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Data includes name, identification, location, an online identifier, or any factor that is specific physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of an individual. An individual may only request Siteimprove act on her or his Personal Data; requests for information other than an individual’s own Personal Data are not permissible.

Customer Procedure for Requesting 

An individual making a request to access her or his Personal Data (“Requestor”) must do so directly to Siteimprove.

    1. This request shall be made by sending an email to or containing the following information:  
    • Full Name;
    • Any pseudonyms, usernames, or alternative names (e.g. maiden name);
    • Telephone number;
    • Email address;
    • Basis for understanding that Siteimprove has custody or control of personal data (e.g. customer, employee, etc.);
    • Specific details about the Personal Data;
    • Request type - delete, transfer, modify.
  1. The Requestor may experience a delay in response if the request is not sent to the correct email address and Siteimprove cannot be responsible for that delay.
  2. Siteimprove shall respond to all properly-submitted requests within 1 month of receipt of that request.
  3. Siteimprove shall document all requests submitted pursuant to this Policy, the titles of persons or offices responsible for receiving and processing requests, and information regarding what searches for Personal Data were conducted.
