Pharmaceutical companies rank lowest on SEO performance
For better or worse, people now rely on online searches for everything from self-diagnosis to medication research to second opinions. Pharma companies have to capture that search traffic and reclaim visitors.
In this report, 45 of Europe's largest pharma companies were assessed using Siteimprove’s Digital Certainty Index™ (DCI), a 100-point quality scale. Results reveal that they received the lowest marks of any industry explored using the DCI™ framework
- Only 4% reached the recommended score for mobile optimization
- 53% rank below average in user experience, which has a direct bearing on SEO performance
- 41% scored poorly in Web Accessibility, an important requirement for the aging population
