Copenhagen, Denmark – 7 June 2017: Siteimprove published its seventh corporate social responsibility (CSR) report, describing the company’s actions as a global supporter of digital accessibility within the past year. The report is published in accordance with the United Nation’s Global Compact – the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, of which Siteimprove has been a member since 2010. During the past year, Siteimprove hosted and participated in seminars, conferences, and webinars to spread the word about digital accessibility. The belief that access to the World Wide Web is a human right is at the center of the company’s CSR efforts. This culminated with the celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2017 in Copenhagen. Hosted by Siteimprove, attended by employees around the world, and visited by influential guest speakers, the event set out to create awareness of the importance of digital accessibility and celebrated those dedicated to the cause.

Siteimprove has maintained the focus on employee well-being as part of its responsibility toward labor rights as described in the Global Compact. In 2016, Siteimprove was again recognized as a place where employees enjoy coming in to work every day. The Siteimprove office in Minneapolis ranked among the Star Tribune’s top workplaces, while the Copenhagen office was named in the top 10 list of Danish IT companies by global research, consulting, and training firm Great Place to Work ®.

Going forward, Siteimprove will continue to be an influential advocate for an inclusive web and work to develop strong partnerships with others who share the same mission.  Organizing and participating in events related to digital accessibility along with ensuring the well-being of employee will also be focus areas in the year to come.
