Siteimprove Celebrates the Golden Anniversary of the ADA

Siteimprove

Jul 26, 2016

An image of the 26th ADA Anniversary logo.Minneapolis, MN –  July 26, 2016 – Siteimprove is celebrating the golden, 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by taking the ADA pledge. By pledging, Siteimprove recognizes the progress of the ADA and is recommitting efforts to continue to strive for full ADA compliance.

Approximately one in every five people lives with a disability that affects how they interact with websites. There is a broad range of disabilities from visual and hearing impairments to cognitive and physical disabilities, and Siteimprove’s mission is to make the web a better place for all by assisting organizations with web accessibility.

Siteimprove has two accessibility consultants on staff to help support customers in understanding the intricacies of accessibility, while helping our product development team with accessibility tool updates.

“Each and every day it’s a pleasure to work with our customers to solve issues on their website related to accessibility,” said Kevin Rydberg, Senior Digital Accessibility Consultant at Siteimprove, Inc. “Everyone deserves to access information on the internet – that’s why I love working for Siteimprove in a role that is committed toward making the web more accessible for all.”

Siteimprove has also made a commitment to accessibility through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Last year, Siteimprove co-hosted the world’s largest blind tandem bike ride in Copenhagen, Denmark with the Danish Association of the Blind to promote Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and continues to raise awareness of digital accessibility.
