Plone + Siteimprove

Learn More

The Siteimprove CMS Plugin bridges the gap between Plone, an enterprise scale, open source content management system (CMS), and the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform. Now you can scan your website for errors as soon as a page is published, allowing you to fix mistakes, optimize content, and manage your site more efficiently.

What does it do?

The seamless integration between Siteimprove and Plone streamlines your web team's workflow. With the plugin, your team can fix errors and optimize content directly within the editing environment. Once the detected issues have been assessed, you can re-check the relevant page in real-time and determine if further actions are needed.

The Siteimprove CMS Add-On provides insights into*:

  • Misspellings and broken links
  • Readability levels
  • Accessibility issues
  • High-priority policies
  • SEO: technical, content, UX, and mobile
  • Page visits and page views
  • Feedback rating and comments
  • Get insights into the impact of unpublishing a specific page.
  • URL Shortener data and its impact on your digital assets

Review impact before unpublishing

You can now use the plugin to check if unpublishing a page will have an impact on your site. For example, you'll be able to see if deleting a page will affect your SEO, or if users would lose access to important documents and links.
If the plugin identifies any potential issues, you'll be able to make informed changes if you decide to unpublish a page. Read more about our CMS plugin

  • Plone 5.0+
Siteimprove, a respected service for maintaining and improving web content quality, proved its usefulness at the Plone Foundation where it was used on our plone.org and plone.com websites. Creating an add-on to integrate the Siteimprove CMS plugin into the Plone editing process was the natural next step. Jazkarta, a website development firm specializing in Plone and Python, took up the challenge at their annual sprint in 2018. As a contribution to the Plone community, they created a new add-on that makes it very easy to use the Siteimprove service from any Plone website.

Paul Roeland

President - Plone Foundation Board of Directors

The Jazkarta team was delighted to be able to contribute to the Plone community by creating an add-on that provides a Siteimprove CMS plugin for Plone. Now anyone with a Plone website can easily integrate with the Siteimprove service and take advantage of all of Siteimprove's features while they are working on their content.

Sally Kleinfeldt

Director of Consulting Services - Jazkarta

Siteimprove is a very useful tool for any website owner; the Plone communications team was able to maintain a high level of content quality on our Plone.com marketing and Plone.org developer community sites. We received reports on an impressive range of measures, including broken links, spelling mistakes, accessibility compliance, and SEO.
