On the search results page, the SearchImprove administrator has the possibility to use a set of tools to get information as to why a particular search term produces the results it does.
To use this set of tools you can either enter&show=edit after the URL of the current search, or you can use the SearchImprove bookmark which makes this automatic.
The SearchImprove bookmark is located in the edit profile section and can be saved to your favourites folder.
After either entering the additional text after the URL or clicking on the bookmark, you can use your SiteImprove user name and password to log in.
You will now see the search results page as before, but now with a series of icons for each result.

The icons have the following meanings and/or functions:

The page/file’s relevance score. The score is divided so it is possible to see the specific elements that have contributed to the page/file’s score and its ultimate position in the search results for this search term. |

View detailed information about this page/file in the SiteImprove administration module. Here it is possible to manually adjust titles and replace the snippet of text that is displayed by default on the search results page. |

Pageranking
|
Promote the page/file, so it appears first in the search results for this search term. Within the SiteImprove administration module it is also possible to link specific content and other features to appear on the search results page for the specific search term. |
